We enjoyed a fun canoe tour on the Lahn River, a hit with our little ones. The hotel also has a decent breakfast buffet with lots of choices.
My wife says that the shower was quite cramped. For families with kids, a bit more space for showering would be great.

The hotel is next to the old city of Marburg. Very good quality Argentinian steak served for dinner!

The staff were thoughtful and patient hole time of my stay. It was in an excellent and absolutely perfect location to the historic centre of the town. Moreover, it's just off almost all the wonderful restaurants and sights that one has to see, Center, and the river...

The location was fantastic, just a quick ride on the elevator and you’re in the old town, which is filled with historical spots. The breakfast buffet had a great variety, with delicious bacon and freshly prepared options. My room was comfortable, with a nice coffee maker and decent size, although the shower was a bit snug. It was a solid choice for my stay during a visit to the mineralogical museum and other local attractions.

We stayed from October 1 till October 4 in Welcome Hotel Marburg. The hotel is well situated, opposite the lift which takes you to the old town. The room was specious and clean. Breakfast had all sorts of bread, juices, cheeses etc enough for the busload of Germans that stayed there.
The staff was not very client orientated. You could get information but it needed a bit of patience. We had asked by telephone for a quiet room, non smoking. That was € 10 more. The room we were offered was on the quiet side but stinking of cigaret smoke. We refused this room, but were told that all rooms were non smoking. We accepted a second room which was not on the quiet side but smoke free. Nevertheless we had to pay the € 10 extra.

The location was excellent, very close to the old town. Rooms were very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.
Parking (not hotel's) is a small issue as the charge is 10 Euro per continuous stay per 24 hours. Thus take the car out for the day or a few hours and then return, that day will cost 20 Euro.

Positive, Great location near the main attractions. The shower had excellent water pressure, which I loved. Breakfast was a highlight, with a wide variety including a huge muesli bar, and the outdoor seating was a nice touch. The staff was very accommodating to our needs.

The entire Staff could not have been more helpfull. I would and will tel anyone who is visting Murburg to use your Hotel. Thank you for a great and stress free vist.
The rooms facing the front of the hotel could use more sound proofing, as the noise from the lift to the Old city keep me awake most nights for a few hours.

Location was great - near the old town, restaurants, and bus stops. Very comfortable bed. Great bathroom. I had to ask for an additional pillow at 1:00 am (too much standing in the airport had my back hurting) and the staff at front desk bought it to my room within minutes. Breakfast was great - scrambled eggs were a welcome sight! Very pleasant stay. If I return to Marburg I will definitely stay here again!
hmmm.....the snow....but I don't think Welcome Hotel Marburg had anything to do with that! Other than that, I cannot think of anything that I did not like.

A good breakfast experience
Waking up to the good aroma of freshly brewed coffee from the breakfast area was a treat. The staff were very good with their friendly service.
The distance from the train station was slightly inconvenient, especially when carrying luggage. Our room had a slight musty smell at first, but leaving the window open before heading out helped alleviate it.
